June Whitcomb
Founding partner
Formation, ownership and outside general counsel.
June started the firm after years at a large downtown firm, where many of her clients were companies that had outgrown their first paperwork. She now prefers to meet them before that happens. She forms companies, writes the agreements between their owners, and serves as outside general counsel to a handful of businesses that call her before they sign anything that matters.
Practice
- Company formation

In June's words
How I work
I ask new clients what they want the company to look like in ten years, and then I write the agreement for that company, not for the one they have today.
Most of my work is quiet. A phone call before a lease is signed, a page added to an employment offer, a buy-sell clause nobody thinks about until a partner wants out. That's the point of having a lawyer early.
